It doesn’t just remove pastel—it also helps refine your portrait, clean your paper, and even create beautiful details that would be difficult to achieve with a pencil alone.
Once you discover how versatile it is, you’ll probably find yourself reaching for it much more often.
Here are five simple ways you can use a kneaded eraser to improve your animal portraits.
1. TO REMOVE OUTLINES
Once your initial sketch is complete and the outlines have served their purpose, an eraser can help soften or completely remove them. This ensures that your final artwork looks polished and free of distracting guide marks.
Removing unnecessary sketch lines helps your finished portrait look much cleaner.
It also allows your pastel layers to become the focus.
2. TO ERASE STAINS AROUND YOUR ANIMAL PORTRAIT
